On April 1, 2023, 3DC and Tohoku University established the Co-Creation Laboratory “3DC x Tohoku University Co-Creation Laboratory to ‘Change the World’ with New Carbon Materials GMS”.
Co-creation Laboratory:
This system promotes various collaborative activities between companies and universities, including the planning and promotion of joint research and human resource development, by establishing a Center for Corporate Collaboration within the university and providing companies with cross-departmental access to university faculty, knowledge, and facilities.
The purpose of this Laboratory is to promote R&D and formulate research topics on Graphene Mesosponge (GMS), a new carbon material that 3DC is advancing toward mass production.
Under the industry-academia collaboration with Tohoku University, 3DC will seek co-creation research topics related to energy-related materials, with the aim of creating new joint research projects and successfully conducting such research.
Through these efforts, 3DC will also further accelerate the establishment of a mass production system for GMS and the development of technologies that utilize GMS.
